With the great turnout at the BBQ/Pot luck last Saturday, there has been a lot of talk in the gym about nutrition. As I talked about in Feb nutrition has to be the base of our health and performance, always.

So what do we suggest for members to follow? This graphic from Cave Girl Eats sums it up perfectly, Nutrition in a 100 words:

Basically, we recommend the JERF diet: JUST EAT REAL FOOD! The paleo/primal community seems to have the best stance on eating for health. But don’t just believe us – research it yourself.

Another topic I feel needs addressing in the CrossFit community, especially women’s view toward body composition. I highly urge all our members read this post about leanness and crossfit/paleo. Lucky our gym is providing numerous examples of healthy fit women for the girls to look up too. Skinny does not mean healthy!
